My favorite black friday dealios!

Saturday, November 24, 2012

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. Ours was wonderful. I was hoping a little someone would have had made their appearance by now, but she must be content chilling in my belly as long as possible.

Any who...My 2 favorite black Friday deals were from Solly Baby and Mrs. Meyers surprisingly. My friend from Dallas texted me these great deals, and I just couldn't pass them up.

Mrs. Meyers was having free shipping and still is until Monday. They never have free shipping so this was something I wanted to make sure I ordered, because I love Mrs. Meyers products.
I picked this for me.

I scooped up these for X-mas gifts. It comes in a set of 8! I know some people that would love receiving this!

I needed a carrier for little one once she gets here, and they had theses for $50 instead of $80! What a great deal. Although the deal is over now, they are still offering buy one get one half off today, so hurry up and go over if you need something like this for your baby!

Christmas inspired candles from Target! Great deal.

This have to be the most amazing things I have ever eaten! I ate the whole bag sadly!

My new Scentsy! Thanks Natasha for the recommendation! I love the Christmas Cottage and Cozy Fireside scents I got. I can't wait to try some more!

This Alterna hair oil. I use it twice a week on dry hair. You leave it in as long as possible and then wash your hair like usual. It's amazing!

Mackenzie Childs christmas ribbon. I can't wait to decorate with this!

New pillows my mom had made for me.

37 Weeks

Tuesday, November 13, 2012

Yes, those are Christmas decorations. I promised I would get the house decorated, before she arrives. I know I won't have any time once she gets here. Tonight we are putting up the tree. I will post pics once the house is done.

How far along: 37 weeks (This was supposed be posted last week, I am now 38 weeks and 2 days) I am so bad about posting on time

Total weight gain: 40 lbs. still the same

Maternity clothes: sweaters and leggings. Nothing fits and I didn't buy many maternity items at all, because I think it's such a waste, so leggings are my choice outfit!

Gender: girl

Movement: yes, lots of rolling

Sleep: I can't wait to sleep on my back again!

Cravings: pudding made with almond milk. It's my new obsession I found at whole foods. Also, I love anything super extra dark chocolate. Notice a trend here??

Symptoms: no symptoms this week.

Highlight of the week: Seeing baby again! I am so anxious to meet this little nugget, I can't stand it.

Furniture Re-do-First DIY Kind of

Wednesday, November 7, 2012

I say the first DIY, because I actually did not do any of it. My momma and momma-in-law (whom are the two most fabulous ladies I ever did meet) painted my dining room buffet. It all started with a paint class. They took a class on this new paint that just came out called chalk paint. It's not what you are thinking of where you can write on it with chalk. It's paint that does not need a primer and also you do not have to strip the piece of furniture before you paint it. It comes in these amazing colors and you can do numerous finishes on it. So back to my piece of furniture. I have this amazing buffet I love, but it was painted in the 90s and it just was way to out dated in my house. That's when these 2 fab ladies stepped in and got to work! Here are the pics below. I still need hardware for the top drawers, but I'm holding out on finding the perfect handles!

The Before

First Coat

The paint they used

The bottom knobs before

My mother-in-law used this stuff to make them a grey color. The piece is a worldly grey and white.

The piece after without knobs and glass on top

She also used silver paint on the hinges to show off the grey white paint.

I think they did an amazing job! Thanks ladies for helping a pregnant woman out! I couldn't be any happier with the result!

A Moment for Hurricane Sandy

Friday, November 2, 2012

I thought I would spotlight the animals of Hurricane Sandy. Many people got stranded from their animals during this horrific storm and many shelters are simply running out of supplies to take care of these sweet babies, so please donate if you can.

I love these adorable Lifefactory water bottles. This 3rd trimester has been making me constantly thirsty, so I have been filling up this thing every minute. I love drinking out of it and it has some major pros that I just learned about. My mom bought it for me from Whole Foods, but when I looked into the company a little more I found that their are major benefits from this little thing. It's glass so you don't get that plastic taste, its bpa and phylate free, and safe for the dishwasher. I also bought one of the little baby bottles last time when I was at the grocery store, so hopefully little nugget enjoys it just as much as I do!

What I'm reading:

"Set during a remarkable time, the same period as Ernest Hemingway's A Moveable Feast and The Sun Also Rises, Paula McLain's The Paris Wife brilliantly captures the voice and heart of Hadley Hemingway as she struggles with her roles as a woman—wife, lover, muse, friend, and mother—and tries to find her place in the intoxicating and tumultuous world of Paris in the twenties."

Just started a book club with some sassy girls, this is our first book we are reading! So excited, I'm nerd and love to read a book a week! Luckily the library is a walk from my house and it happens to be the most darling library ever!

Are these cute or to much of a faded trend. I have heard nothing but great things about them. People are always saying how comfy they are. Should I get a pair or no? If so which ones!?

Most used product

Tuesday, October 16, 2012

I thought this would be a fun post...I was putting on my make-up this morning and I noticed that I kept grabbing for the same product several times. My Bobbi Brown shimmer brick in bronze. I love this thing. It gives a great glow and can also be used as eyeshadow. I have been using this since I was in High School. What product do you grab for the most in your makeup bag?
