Two things I write in almost every day are my agenda from MomAgenda and my Mom's One Line A Day. I have tried keep a schedule on my iphone, but I never end up sticking with it. I like the old school way of writing what I have to do down on the old pen and pad. This agenda is great because I can add my stuff as well as Scarlett's stuff to it with a section for each of us. The Mom's One Line A Day is great memory keeper. I always get so excited to add things to it each day. I can't wait to give this to Scarlett one day for her to read.

Summer Wardrobe

Wednesday, May 22, 2013

I bought these two items this past weekend to wear throughout this summer. I plan on wearing the tunic dress to the pool a lot! Also, I love these wedges, because they aren't super high. The color is to die for too! Jcrew is also offering 20% off women's apparel, so it's a perfect excuse to shop!

Friday and Baby Food

Friday, May 17, 2013

Happy Friday lovies! We have a busy one ahead of us with a graduation, grandma's garage sale, family dinner night, and more! I know it seems that all my posts are about babies and baby stuff, but honestly that's been consuming my life currently and I am perfectly okay with that. I thought I would share my adventures in baby food making. For one of my showers someone got me a Beaba, which is what I have been using to make Baby S food. It's super easy! Follow these steps if you have one of these magic machines.

Sweet potatoes

1. Skin sweet potatoes

2. Chop up in to small pieces

3. put your water in the side of the machine  and then drop sweet potato pieces into basket.

4. Turn on steam and wait for the light to go off.

5. Once light has shut off dump basket into the part with the blade and then blend until desired consistency.

6. See easy peasy!

I put mine in these freezable beaba containers. I like them a lot, because they are easy to pop out once you are ready to give them to baby. They also store one serving each, but I assume you can just freeze the food in ice trays too! How do you all make baby food or do you buy the ones at the store?

By the way I am loving the beautiful mess app! So fun! Can't wait to use it in some upcoming posts!

Mother's Day Re-Cap

Tuesday, May 14, 2013

My first Mother's Day was everything I hoped it to be. The best part of it was that I got to spend every waking moment with my little family of three. My husband woke me up to an amazing home cooked breakfast. I told him that he has to be the new Sunday breakfast maker, because it was so good. After eating way to many waffles, we headed to brunch at my in-laws, but we skipped the food. Later that day we went to the Zoo. There was way to many people there, but it was fun to get to see a few of the animals. The weather was beyond perfect. We ended the day with dinner with my mom. I loved everything about Mother's Day and I can't wait to celebrate more with my sweet family. Being a mother is truly a blessing. So to all you mommy's out there I hope your was just as special.

Healthy protein balls

Wednesday, May 8, 2013

If I'm not running out the door eating a lara bar, you can catch me or my husband eating one of these yummies I make weekly. They are super easy healthy protein balls that help with staying full in between meals. You can pretty much add anything you want to them, but we like to keep them simple.

You will need:

1 c. Organic Peanut Butter (creamy)

1. c Gluten Free Oats

1/ 3 c. Shredded Coconut ( I toast mine a little bit)

1/2 c. Flax seed meal

1/2 c. raw or regular honey

Mix all together, refrigerate for at least an hour, scoop into a small ball size, then store in a glass or airtight container. Enjoy, from my kitchen to yours!
