Weekend Wrap Up

Monday, October 3, 2016

Happy October! Our weekend flew by as they always seem to do.

We started off Friday with Wes getting off work early! We went to the mall to grab Scarlett's Halloween Costume and to ride the carousel. After that we grabbed some Mexican food and called it a night.

Saturday, we are up early with me taking Scarlett to her dance class. We had such a fun morning! We grabbed a cinnamon roll after dance class, shopped for a gift for my sister in law, and then wrapped up the morning holding puppies at the dog store. Later, that night we went to a birthday party for my sister in law and it was so fun watching the cousins play together!

Sunday we welcomed October by hitting up our First pumpkin patch of the season. We also finally hung some much need curtains in our living room! Don't call me crazy, because I did white with two little kids! We had so much fun and can't wait for the rest of October!

Nothing says Fall like a cozy sweater

Thursday, September 29, 2016

These two sweaters are from a store I thought I would never revisit. Abercrombie use to be all the rage when I was in high school, so you could imagine my surprise when I found two of the coziest sweaters from there for  the Fall. I haven't ordered them quite yet, I kind of want to see them in person first, but there's no denying that these scream Fall.

Tuesday Randoms

Tuesday, September 27, 2016

Happy Tuesday! We have been busy ordering and picking out all of Tripton's big boy stuff. Recently he has been climbing out of his crib multiple times when we put him down at night. So we decided it was time to bite the bullet and order him a big boy bed. We ordered him a full size bed, like we did for Scarlett so he can have it through high school. We got all of the bedding at PB Kids. I think they have such a fun selection, plus most of their bedding is on sale! Bonus! We ordered this quilt and dinosaur sheets.

We also found some upcoming birthday presents at my other favorite store, Costco. Trip loves Toy Story and is going to love these action figures that talk.

Last weekend the Circus was in town, so we decided last minute to buy tickets and go. It was pretty fun, and Trip probably liked it more then Scarlett. Scarlett was more interested in the concessions as you can see.

Lastly, my mom got them these adorable sleeping bags for fall and winter to cozy up in. Now every morning they bring them to me to watch a morning show in.

August

Wednesday, September 7, 2016

And then it was August, actually it's September, but I have to start playing catch up. This summer was the summer of speed. I felt like by the time it was summer it was over. I can hardly believe Scarlett has already started back to school. Her second year too! The saying the days are long and the years are short, could not ring truer for me. I am trying to remember to cherish these moments and not wish for bedtime each day. Here are some of things we have been up to...

We went to a fairy party at Restoration Emporium

While Trip hung with Daddy.

Got a swing set

Went to Pittsuburgh

Saw the trains.

had a tea party

Started School

Rode our bikes to the park

Summer Fun

Tuesday, July 12, 2016

Is it just me or do any of you feel like this summer is just flying by? I cannot believe that we are almost halfway into July. It's been amazing having Scarlett home and I'm not quite ready for her to go back to school in the fall. She is such a sweet little girl and I have been having the best time watching her and Trip bond more.

Here are some pictures of what we have been up to in July so far…

Checking out the Children's Museum.

Having a blast on 4th of July

Eating lots of corn!

Creating a fairy garden for the fairies

Testing out swing sets!

Before I go, does anyone use KiwiCrate for their kids. I'm thinking about subscribing, because I rarely get to crafts with the kids, so I thought this would give me no excuse.

Father's Day Weekend

Monday, June 20, 2016

We had zero plans for this weekend, which sometimes is the best thing to happen. I feel like everything isn't as forced and we have more fun this way. Friday Trip and Scarlett hung out with me before I worked out. Here he is working on his fitness. haha.

Wes got a new car this weekend and I felt so bad because the kids were running around the showroom touching all the cars, so I finally caved and brought them outside to wait.

We went to this little Duck Derby a park nearby was having. The kids got to listen to music, get their face painted, have a cookie, and play. So it was a good time!

We had so much fun Saturday. Wes got to golf in the morning and then we headed to the mall to eat lunch at Nordstrom Cafe, ride the carasel, and check out the disney store. Scarlett left with two new barbies and Trip a car.

Sunday I actually got zero pictures, but we had lunch at Wes's parents and just did our normal grocery run. It was a low key day, but that's just the way we like it. We had a great time celebrating Wes and I couldn't be happier to have him by my side.

Rosemary Beach 2016

Tuesday, June 7, 2016

Every year we head down to Florida for a Memorial weekend vacation. This year we decided to stay 10 whole days. I absolutely love this area and fall more in love with it each time we go. We swam, built sand castles, ate ice cream, did crafts, went shopping, and went to concerts. I had an amazing time with my sweet little family.

Weekend Re-cap

Monday, May 16, 2016

This is a recap of the past two weekends. We have been busy busy busy. But doing all the things we love.

We ate lunch at our amazing museum in Kansas City for my moms birthday. Trip and I took a quick picture outside under the huge metal spider sculpture.

Scarlett watering our garden. We had a garden at our last house and I knew I would want another box when we moved here. All the lettuce is doing really well, and we have been eating the Kale almost daily.

What my lunch usually looks like.

Taco salad for dinner with saladfrom our garden! This has to be one of my favorite dinners right now. I just chop up lettuce and add sautéed grilled onions and peppers. I cook the ground turkey in a frontera seasoning I get from Whole Foods. Sooo good.

Scarlett and Trip visiting the bunnies at my dad's house.

Backyard Fun!

Lastly, on mother's day Scarlett and I went to the movies to see Zootopia.
